Denis is a Research Associate at SEQART AFRICA. He is part of the Wet Lab team and he is involved in various aspects of Genotyping by Sequencing workflow. Also, he is responsible for the company purchases and orders. Before joining SEQART, Denis worked with ILRI as a Research Associate at the Integrated Genotyping Support and Service (IGSS) platform under the BecA-ILRI Hub.

Denis underwent intense technical training at Diversity Arrays Technology Pty Ltd on Genotyping and bioinformatics. He holds a BSc in Biotechnology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). Previously he worked with the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) as a laboratory technician, where he gained experience in molecular biology techniques.

Outside work Denis enjoys playing drums, guitar and the occasional garden farming, and swimming.
